STATE-OF-THE-ART-DESIGN
Technical design, tailored around you delivers a custom ski that is totally unique to your style and preferences. We adjust every aspect of your Thoroughbred Ski to be tuned to your wants and needs; length, shape, camber, rocker, flex and graphics. You get skis that truly fits your style.
SHAPEThe shape of your ski influencing how tight turning the ski is, hard-pack carving characteristics and how much float you will get in powder. There are many options available and new ski and board shapes are constantly being developed as skiing trends continue to grow and change. The basic shape parameters are the radius and the width. The width and taper in the tip and tail are influenced by the rocker length. |
ROCKER/CAMBERThe rocker/camber combination is a key design aspect that determines the ease of starting your turns as well as stability at speed. Extended rocker is often used to make a longer ski feel shorter, and increase agility, while preserving the slarving and float capabilities in powder. |
FLEXYour ski’s carving stability performance largely depends on the flex, i.e. how the torsion and longitudinal stiffness are adjusted to its shape. The flex also needs to be adjusted to the weight and skill level of the rider. We precisely adjust the flex of every single ski to suit your skiing style and weight. By tuning the contour line of the wood core and the fibre glass construction, we can tune each shape with its individual flex. |
WEIGHTWeight influences your ability to charge through uneven snow, and the overall stability of the ski and how quick the ski swings into your turns. In the back country, you spend more time going up than downhill so our skis made to be less tiring; choose from our light-weight carbon fiber or ultra-light-weight high tech Bcomp core options to reduce ski weight by as much as 15% to 30%. |
