Can’t come see us at Kicking Horse? No problem, we work closely with you from the comfort of your own home to design skis that are just right for you. Our custom skis are built around you, each one as unique as you are; we adjust every aspect of your Thoroughbred Ski to be tailored to your wants and needs; length, sidecut, camber, rocker, flex and graphics. So our ordering process is devised to explore what ski design will meet your skiing aspirations. The process is easy:
- Skier information: Complete the “Start a design discussion” form on this page. This provides us with basic information to initiate the design process.
- Design Consultation: We will contact you within 24 hours to arrange for a more detailed to exploration of what you would like to experience with your custom skis and the ideal ski you are looking for. This is most commonly it is done by Skype or phone. If you are in the area we can meet you at either Kicking Horse Mountain Resort or Lake Louise and explore options on the slopes. The general characteristics of your Thoroughbreds are explored, and your design starts to take form. Top sheet graphic design options are also discussed.
- Design confirmation: within 1 week we provide you with a proposed custom ski design for your approval, or further discussion. Graphic design is also agreed to as well as delivery/pick-up options and timing. Once the design is signed off we require a $250 deposit.
- Ski Delivery: your personal custom skis arrive at your door, or you can pick them up at our shop.
